Hello there my sensual readers! Well, I keep posting my glossaries of sexual definitions. Today let me share with you sexuality-related words beginning with L. In sexual vocabulary, there are so many hot words starting with this sensual letter… Love, Lovemaking, Lover, Lust… My list below contains even more letter-L words, so take a few minutes to read through it. Although many words are well known, there’s a chance that someone will find here new terms and expressions to be learned. I offer 8 sexual definitions including slang words, vagina synonyms, anatomical terms, and much more.

Sexicon for lovers and others: LETTER L

LESBIAN: A term that is commonly used to describe a homosexual woman, or sexual and romantic relationship between women. The word “lesbian” comes from the name of the Greek island of Lesbos, the birthplace of an ancient Greek poetess Sappho. Lesbian sexual behaviors may include various forms of kissing and caressing, nipple play, sexual fingering, digital intercourse, cunnilingus, anilingus, tribadism (aka scissoring), use of sex toys. Tribadism, also known as “scissoring”, is a form of non-penetrative sex between two women. This is a form of lesbian lovemaking in which women are rubbing and pressing their pussies against each other. As to sex toys homosexual women choose to play with, they vary from different types of clitoral and G-spot vibrators, dildos, double dildos, non-phallic vibrators, strap-ons, etc.

LABIA: Labia majora and labia minora are external female sex organs. Labia majora and labia minora enclose the vaginal and urethral opening and are often referred to as ‘pussy lips’. LIBIDO: A term, popularized by founder of psychoanalysis, Sigmund Freud, which is commonly used to denote a sexual energy, sexual desire, sexual drive, sexual instinct; psychic and emotional energy associated with sexual instinct. The term comes from the New Latin ‘libidin’ (desire, lust), and from ‘libere’ (to please). There are psychological and physical causes that can affect libido. The psychological causes may include stress, body image concerns, distraction, depression, etc. Physical factors may include the side effects of some medicines, hormonal imbalances, lifestyle factors, etc.

LINGAM: Lingam (pronounced LING-AHM) is the Sanskrit word for the male sexual organ, penis, or a representation of the penis; a phallic symbol. Lingam is the Hindu phallic symbol of Siva. The term is often used in Tantric sexuality. Lingam massage is a very sensual and honoring massage of male penis and its surroundings. Believe me, lingam massage is a special experience for both a giver and receiver. Some of the purposes of the massage are showing love and respect for this beautiful part of your man’s body, releasing his fears and expanding his ability to relax and receive pleasure. LUBRICANT: A personal lubricant, often referred to as “lube” or “sex lube”, is a liquid meant for using during various sexual acts. Sexual lubricants help to reduce friction and enhance pleasure during sex. Although men and women both produce their own lubrication, extra lubrication is always helpful because sex is better when wetter. Some couples consider lubricants as an interruption, because it takes time to apply a lube, however, even the very act of lubricating your lover’s private part may be very, very intimate and sensual process.

A wide range of lubricants is available today. There are water-based, oil-based and silicone based lubes. There are lubes specifically designed to enhance anal sex, or oral sex, or masturbation. Lovers can choose from warming lubricants, edible lubricants, prolonging lubes, jack off lubes, and other. Many anal lubricants contain a numbing agent ‘benzocaine’, that will numb the anal area for reducing painful sensation during anal penetration. Warming lubricants cause a heating sensation in the skin. Water-based lubricants are generally considered all-purpose lubes. They can be used with sex toys and for various sexual activities. Oil-based lubricants are good too, they are usually made from natural oils, don’t cause irritation, but are difficult to wash off and tend to stain fabrics and destroy latex. Silicone-based lubricants are waterproof and fantastic for water fun, but these lubes are not recommended for use with silicone-based sex toys.

LYGERASTIA: Lygerastia is the tendency to become sexually aroused in total darkness. The word comes from ‘lyge’ (twilight), and ‘erastes’ (lover). There is also an Amaurophilia, which comes from ‘amaurosis’ (blindness), and ‘philia’ (attraction). Amaurophilia is sexual preference for a blind or blindfolded sex partner or for having sex in darkness.

LOVE’S CHANEL: Love’s channel is a slang word for pussy. Other words for vagina are love tunnel, lady flower, little girl, little front butt, little sister, lotus, lotus flower, love box, love canal, love jungle, love’s paradise, love’s pavilion, lower smile, lowlands, lunch box, lower mouth.

LOLITA: Lolita is a slang word for a seductive, sexually attractive, or sexually precocious young girl, who is the object of sexual desire of a significantly older man. The word is also applied to describe a female sexual behavior/sexuality. The name “Lolita” comes from a widely known novel Lolita, by Vladimir Nabokov. The novel was first written in English and published in 1955, in Paris. The book tells about a story of middle-aged Humbert, who becomes obsessed with a 12-year-old girl Dolores (also known as Dolly, Lolita, Lola).

Now here you have eight sexual definitions. No, I didn’t forget about LOVE and LUST :) I just decided to not give the definitions of these as my guess is that everyone has his or her own definition of what is love and lust. Some think that it’s so difficult to tell when you are in love or is it lust. In my opinion, there is the difference. Love is more about the connection of souls and desiring the best for the person you love. Lust is mainly about an intense and strong sexual desire and self-gratification.
